The Paradise Valley Café… is many things to many people. A place to refuel for many Pacific Coast Trail hikers where they can pick up packages sent from home. Locals from the Garner Valley discuss the dire state of the modern world. It is a favorite stop for bikers and car clubs on their way to the Coachella Valley or Temecula. The Paradise Valley Cafe was established in 1939 by a proprietor known as Pistol Annie. She got the name by carrying a couple of six-shooters on each hip. Over the years, the place went through several names such as Backwoods Inn and Paradise Corner Cafe. In 2010, Neel Joshi became the new owner and brought back the Paradise Valley Cafe’s original name.
With his Indian and Italian heritage, Neel grew up around really good food. He takes pride in making everything on site, often from family recipes. Come experience our homemade penne marinara with our family’s secret sauce recipe and a giant meatball in the middle the way Mom used to make it. Or sample our popular homemade chili, split pea soup, and a slice of tiramisu for dessert.
Neel worked at Sysco for a decade as a marketing manager until he decided to give up the corporate world to pursue his passion for great eating experiences. He created Molly’s in San Bernardino and Holy Cow in Los Angeles.
